So I am a tall curvy girl 5'8" around a buck fifty or so... what are some stylish boot options for the fall/winter?

I know the stacked heel over jeans looks hot - but not sure how that looks on a curvy girl (most times it looks funny to me) - any other suggestions? I have looked everywhere and I just can't find what I am looking for - mostly I dress very casually, but occassionally I go with the dressier outfits that I would like the perfect boot for.
help!

From my perspective you should look for boots that are proportional to your physique. In other words, don't try to wear skinny jeans tucked into knee high 4 inch stiletto heel boots...My advice would be to go with a thick stacked heel knee boot (like Chloe) or a shorter boot (mid calf) with a stacked heel...Naturally you can wear any style boot, even thin heeled ones, if you don't tuck your jeans in...

thanks so much!

so when you say the thick stacked heel knee boot (like the chloe boot) - do you think that would look ok over jeans for me though or no on that too?

something like these ya think?? I love both of these...

I heard the calf on those was pretty thin, so I wouldn't recommend those. I also think the first ones are fake, something looks off about them.

yeh - I just did a quick search for some photos - not sure I can quite afford Chloe boots at this point - just looking for some style advice.
Thanks much!

I am sooo confident the boots similar to Chloe will look great with your skinny jeans tucked into them...FYI, your calves must be smaller than 16 inches around if you plan to tuck your jeans in...I finally was able to locate a pair when I was in London this week!

I wouldn't at all recommend the boots Dirk posted. Shorter boots wouldn't be such a great option for you - knee highs would be a much better choice, and when you're not tucking jeans in, you can always wear them with a dress/skirt...you'll look fab, don't worry about it!

The boots Dirk posted are o.k. for thinnner girls, but if you are a little thicker those may make your calfs look huge unless you are wearing then UNDER jeans, but I wouldnt wear those with a skirt or dress, I really wouldnt wear them any other way but under jeans.
yeah the first Chloe boots are fake but you got the idea. If your gonna tuck in jeans go that route, plus if you usually dress casual you will get alot more wear out of those. Dont do the pointy stilletto boots cause you will look like you have thunder thighs.
You can do the pointy stiletto boots if you do your jeans cuffed up, thats cute but dont tuck them in.

thanks everyone for all the help and advice - now I just have to find this "perfect boot" heading up to Toronto next weekend and NYC in a few weeks - should be able to find something I like!!

I'm curvy too and wouldnt' dream of tucking jeans into tight boots as it just accentuates the width of your hips/ bum/ saddlebags. You run the risk of looking like an inverted triangle doing that. The only boots I tuck jeans into are pretty bulky (furry, not motorcyle bulky!) as this helps balance out the silhouette. The bulky boots are almost a substitute for a bootcut. I also wear really dark jeans tucked in (indigo or black) to give the illusion of slimmer legs with this look :flower:

hero--what about western/cowboy boots? I always think they look great on curvy girls, with swingy skirts or boot-cut jeans... it's a look that doesn't ever go out, especially here in Texas! they're a little bit chunky, a little bit feminine.

I'm short and curvy and I never tuck things in, it just looks silly. If I want to show off a boot I wear with cropped or gaucho-type pants... something like this would look good with cropped pants and make some shape to your calf without squeezing it!

this shape is kind of popular, sure you could find something similar without breaking your bank on these...

i wouldn't consider your weight and height to make you curvy. . . but let's say that you are. it might make you look curvier if you wear boots over your jeans. if you don't want that look, i would just wear a narrow pant leg with stilleto or ankle boots.

Yeh I have a nice pair of cowboy boots that I just love - but they just dont go with everything.
Love those Marc Jacobs boots - and you are right a nice cropped pant might be a great way to show off boots like that - I tried on some nice stacked boots this weekend and when it came to jeans over those type of boots - they just looked cheap and chunky. So unless I find that perfect boot that doesn't make me look dumpy when worn over jeans - I may just have to find a great pair of gaucho pants
Thanks for the advice.

I say if you want to tuck them into jeans, go for flat boots. My friend is a bit curvy and she got a pair at Aldo and they look awesome and don't make her any taller than she is which is a plus for her because she's 5'8 as well.
