What an incredible and touching editorial. I absolutely adore the second one.

i guess it's a reference to wim wenders (director of "wings of desire"). that old guy is pascal greggory. he was an actor in a film called "pauline à la plage" (pauline at the beach). so, maybe angel + beach=inspiration for this.

i just think it's inappropriate to call greggory an "old guy" like he's just some beach bum or a prop for daphne?! ugh.

I thought it was weird at first seeing as though I too was unaware of his identity, but after looking at the editorial again and again it's quite enchanting. I don't see anything inappropriate about it, really.

This editorial is, in my opinion, one of her bests. The only one that makes me question it's rank is VP Feb. 2011. I am literally in shock.
