she was in a special category last night. one of the few real models for McQueen's work, IMO.

In my honest opinion I think Daphne looks her worst when she is dressed in McQueen. She always chooses such obvious pieces that cannot be adapted to her own enduring style. McQueens more inspired pieces are wonderful but they don't handle adaption from the runway very well. Ironically I believe Daphne to be at her most wonderful and eccentrically British best when she is dressed in French Chanel Couture.

I love that she's turned the traditional way of keeping your hair tidy whilst putting on your frock into pure performance. I might keep a silk scarf with me whilst shopping.

Yes, her trademark hairbun looks amazing (especially from the back). As the dress, it floats in the air, stunning! Definitely my favourite from the Gala - the rest of the ladies opted for rather safe choices
