I dont know much about her but looking back through the older photos she looked edgy & wicked cool but natural & youthful at the same time. Now in these recent photos she just looks scary... over the top, to much make up & alittle possessed.

I would love to see some older photos too.

I belive she has reached a point where she can have everything and everything is possible. this is often making people sad.

Im having a hard time finding any... just wondering if theres any candids of her in more casual streetwear or just out & about photos?

This candid attitude, this sense of effortlessness, this innocence if you will has completely disappeared from her. She is now putting on a show and trying nearly as hard as Victoria Beckham (a comparison it really pains me to make).

A comparison it pains me to hear but you're so right. :(

Love the older pics. Thanks Boomer! :flower:

Weirdly enough she actually makes that McQueen dress quite wearable... That's what makes Daphne so iconic to me - that ability to take the extraordinary and make it seem quite normal, as if we are the weird ones for not wearing 10 inch heel-less shoes with a Chanel suit. She's not like other supposedly eccentric dressers today (Lady Gaga comes to mind) who just look frankly ridiculous and forced. Iconic outfits just seem to come so naturally to her.

Unfortunately I agree though that lately her choices have seemed a bit off. She just isn't looking as regal as she used to. I can't really comment on her state of mind though - that quote from jezebel is worrying, but she's odd enough that maybe it could be written off as an eccentric piece of babble that doesn't really mean anything. At least I hope so

Harumi you said it best :flower:.

Her last look is ridiculous. The effortlessness of her prior couture, eccentric outfits has disappeared. And before us now we have another VB clone (just one who is willing to wear eccentric clothing).

The older photo I love is her wearing that green cardigan. I love seeing her in color. She wears so much black.

These were posted earlier in the thread (this is probably as casual as it gets when it comes to Daphne, I guess):

i miss those looks - back in the day, there was something really regal about it all, the way she lived and breathed couture..these days it just feels so costumey and dare I say - trashy. :ninja:

I see the Victoria Beckham comparisons too, the stiff wooden facial expression, the way the extravagant clothes wear her rather than the other way around. I know Daphne is far better than this parody of herself she is currently insisting on...

^ I think she needs to book a suite at the Ritz and spend a couple of weeks with Karl...He'll get her back on track... ^_^

^ or perhaps hang out with Lady Harlech and the horses abit more? :ermm:

In alot of the old pics she was smiling and really relaxed, I'm sorry to see that recently there's none of that in her photos..

The profile in the 5th picture is stunning I wish she would have worn a runway pair of the shoes with all the jewels on them.

^ I found the inspiration for her look!! :woot:
