She's not dressing for herself anymore - the more she gets integrated into the fashion world, the more she's become a product of everyone else's ideas and wants. And more and more she's becoming a real caricature, because her style becomes more and more hyper-real, and NOT in a way that suggests she's got a strong vision (quite the reverse in fact).

I feel kind of sad for her really.

Actually, she had a big auction of many of her couture pieces in London a couple of years back and gave the money to a woman's shelter or something like that, so I guess she does sometimes...

Thats a pretty silly thing to say-how do you know what she does or does not do with her money? She probably does a lot more than you may know for charity...... She is involved in a charity for battered women for instance.

And what is the use of having money if your not going play with it??? To watch it grow in piles and never touch it?

Great, lovely. I take your point about Daphne's life - her charity work (etc) not being something that we know much about. However don't you think its rather counterproductive that you're attacking the posters here in order to make your point?

This kind of sanctimonious defensiveness - frankly, we're here to discuss her style. I for one care very little what she does with her money. Hear-say about her life? Not interested thanks.

Ohh, Daphne... Well, the woman is never boring I give her that.

I get the feeling she dyed her hair because she developed an intolerance to those ludicrous contact lenses and had to find a new attention-seeking ploy.
Anyway, as always, the accessories are flawless: the jewelry is just sublime. And if that body chain-mail thingy had been worn with an actual outfit as opposed to her Pilates uniform, it might have ranked as one of her best outfit ever.
Positive note though: she's laughing! And looking like she's having fun!

Comments about the charity work that Daphne does or doesn't do are completely irrelevant, I think. Besides which, I would assume that she does much of it in private and doesn't expect to be publically lauded for it, which is as it should be.

Anyway, LOVE her jewellery as always and kinda like her outfit. I applaud her for taking a risk with her hair. But I still HAAAAAAAAAAAATE the shoes.

Was wondering if any of you fabulous TFSers would remember anything about an event where Daphne had her painned up in a flapper style with lots of visible pins kinda criss crossed over her hair? Have looked through Gettyimages and done a Google image search but to no avail. I figured that someone on here might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I just looked through the pictures on getty images of the la chappelle party and it's like the photog was stalking her... she's in more pic on the front than anybody! There's one that looks like her chainmail dress got wrapped in her foot when she was pushed/fell/jumped in the pool
