To anyone that cares that shirt she was wearing in her polaroids is a top from urbanoutfitters. i thought it was such a cute top and then i just looked through this thread and saw her wearing it......

does anyone have the february 2006 Fashion Magazine or know where I can get it? I'd love to see a scan of all of the Darla pictures in that one. Modemodels only posted a couple of the pictures.

darla baker fans! i've featured darla as one of my top picks to sweep up at the spring/summer 07 shows. here's my little write up on her:

does anyone else not see the "she's your queen to be" picture in the nylon magazine? (the one where she's laying down). i looked at nylon yesterday in the bookstore and as far as i could see, they only put in the picture of her face in the blue lipstick.

i hope this doesn't sound mean to say, but i think darla could benefit from waxing her face. i noticed it in the new nylon magazine especially.(the actual one, not the online version). don't get me wrong, i don't think she's grossly hairy or anything, but i can see the babyhairs on her jawline and cheeks, and her dark hair on her forhead between her eyebrows and hairline. if she were blonde it probably wouldn't show up at all, but as a photographer i can say that my advice to her, especially for closeups, would be to wax her face or at least the sides of her forehead between her hairline and eyebrows, and her cheeks and jawline.

i noticed it in these pictures the most.

I think if they're only fine colourless hairs she'd be best off leaving them. I can't imagine anything worse than having to wax your face all the time. It'd just grow back coarser and darker and she'd have to have a stubbly face while she waited for it to grow long enough to wax again. Oh, it doesn't bear thinking about! She's fine as she is.
