Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan

I saw this on DVD and I got to say, I was blown away. (late, i know. lol.)

In addition, though the movie is full of mysteriousness and depth, I find myself lost in some part especially when Nina killed Lily with a broken mirror but it turns out that she stabbed herself instead. My theory is that she sees her competition as another person when in reality, she is just struggling within herself. Also, i didn't get the part when she has all this scratches. Again, I interpreted this as she is slowly destroying herself for her ambition to perfect the white and black swan.

It's so cheesy to me in places, like Lily at practice with her hair loose (not even half up or something, just loose ... yeah yeah I get Lily is meant to be a 'free spirit' compared to uptight Nina but ballet hair stays tied back for a reason, you don't want it in your face/impeding vision) and the final 'swan transformation' is just unintentionally funny

very menacing and good use of ballet aesthetics though
