great news for her

WOW, that's awesome, I think. I don't really understand what's going on. She's shooting for Stefanel? What about that bit about Testino and American Vogue? And new agency?

i think omario said that Darya has been booked by Stefanel, Adam Whitehead is the photographer of the lookbook (not a campaign?). Mario Testino is the one who picked Darya to be the model, and the styling's done my US vogue team.

i dont really know either, but i'm sure it's legit ^_^

Did somebody watch The Model Agency today? She seems not to be the most intelligent & civilized girl around

She has always had a surly look about her, but hell she really is a grumpy sod........witnessing her behaviour on The Model Agency tonight.
Aiden the senior booker gave her a real dressing down and rightly so.
I don't think this will help her career at all.

Saw her on this weeks The Model Agency too. Yes she lacks patience but I found her a lot more interesting than some of the other girls.

Do we have a clip/video?

I reserve my judgment until I see this.. I always found her adorable just by looking at her pictures/videos..

Well she was more interesting, as all the other girls featured were reasonable and trying to do their job, so didn't make great TV, whereas someone acting like a spoilt child is always grab your attention.

Take it from me Mulletproof................she was unprofessional and grumpy as hell. Btw there is usually a link posted the following day, in the thread for the show.:flower:

I didn't say I found her more interesting because she was acting like a spoilt child or making great TV. I liked her look and presence. Yes she has her flaws but she's human. And later on she had the decency to acknowledge her mistakes and apologised.

The whole episode is here.. While I do agree that her behavior was not called for and she deserved the verbal "beating" if you will.. she's still a kid and growing up in this business can't be easy given the traveling, hours and little sleep that they receive over the course of those weeks without your parents, while still trying to find yourself and who you are not only as a model but as a person.. it's difficult. I still think she definitely needs to know how to communicate with others correctly, because her ignorance of everyone but herself was very annoying.

I just finished watching the episode.. not to go against the tide here, but I really felt more sad than annoyed by her behavior.. I feel like she might be the kind of kid that needs a lot of love and understanding and she's in a business that might be everything but suitable for her personality and needs, you look at the way she interacts with the people in the agency and.. I just want to give her a hug :ninja:.. I don't excuse her behavior but I do think it is a [very angry] call for attention, and I find it sad that clearly no one in that office has the ability to reach out to her.. stating the obvious by telling her that she's had a few drinks or that it's the same song every season or that she needs to keep going isn't really what's going to help her (or anyone really).. I know they're not psychoanalysts and it's a business AND it's an edited show, but she's still a young and very lonely girl.. at a very vulnerable age, that's who they're dealing with. I hope she has some real friends back in NY cause she seems too attached to her drinks and cigarettes and certainly looks very angry at her situation.. and I also hope she has someone to tell her that modeling isn't really the only option in life..

By the way, she looked awesome when talking to the camera.

^ I kinda agree with you, yes she had an attitude but I could see a nice girl deep down... she seemed sympathetic in her apology. Plus, in the few on camera interactions with clients she appeared very polite and easy to work with. I hope she finds herself a more positive outlook, she has a great opportunity in her hands!

I just finished watching the episode, and I absolutely feel the same way.

Haven't seen it yet (and will try this evening, defintely) so I can't tell much yet. But somehow I quite like these grumpy, moody persons that goes from full joy to complete sadness within a wink. It's human and it's often the sign of a rich, interesting personality that often lacks in this business. And many times, it's when it's really hard for someone to adapt that he will give the best in the end. Like any kind of artist (provided I consider modeling is art and/or performance).

Will watch and if I'm wrong, I'll gently swallow my hat -_-

^Well, fortunately. A bit of a petulant personality does not hurt, but imagine if one of your girls went intown London and refused to go to castings, continually gives attitude to clients despite all the temporal investments in previous months, or years. And also for the main market based agency it's a letdown economically as they are the ones who advance the cash for everything (and will probably never get it back).... I don't find that very inspiring to be honest.

^But she seemed to be really nice to clients actually.
