David Beckham

^ Probably to look the part and Americans will love....but can't see why he has to! It always annoyed me when the Nevilles didn't sing ours when they played for England!!!

MORE INK FOR DAVID

"
Victoria Beckham
says bubby David is keeping one arm free from tattoos so he has space to honour the couple’s future children - which the pair hope will include a baby girl.
Speaking at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards, Mrs Beckham told reporters: “Yes it’s true. I think David is keeping his arm free for - hopefully - the name, or names, of our daughter or any other children we have.”
The bad news? Victoria can only have so many C-sections before her scar begins to stretch and tear. (Bad visual.)
The good news? David will be using less self-tanner, now most of his body will be covered in ink."

Emil....Looks like even more air-miles!! I guessed he would not just stop at EURO 08!!
Agree he looks much better with the blonde cut out...he looked older with it as it drained his face. He is looking good!
Is that Hermes luggage or just standard REAL MADRID luggage...lol.. probably same thing ;)

Do you think he actually thinks he will play in 2010? Or are the papers getting abit carried away, lol

Do you know Sarant...I actually believe HE thinks he can play in 2010 ...just one slight hurdle - they will have to win EURO 08 first!! ;)

Yeah I think he thinks it as well, full marks for determination but I really doubt it he would be what 36 (?) in 2010, for an midfielder thats old.

Oh how I wish we would win the Euro, especially as my boyfriend is half Greek and they are the current holders .

Haha Sarant...you just never know - It really is David's last chance to prove himself....so Greece you may just need to watch out:lol:

SaraAnt i dont think he will play in 2010 either, but Euro is a possibility.....

^ I am sure it is far too late in the day for that to happen...but Emil talk about giving him doubts and mixed feelings. I think if they win La Liga he will be ok - but even then to me it's the second rate football he will be playing at Galaxy that will tough for him in the long run.
Woh! this guy must have so much pressure on him - wondering how it will all come together.....Although probably not as much as Victoria who has had all the hard work planning the future for ALL of the family, only for all these last minute issues to crop up and jeopardise it all!!

^^Its extremely tough,i dont know what to think of this! :(
I mean first of all how unproffesional of the Calderon to say that, when they treated him unfairly and he decided to leave, they were saying he is not a footballer but a "star" :ninja: nad now when he almost helped them win La Liga,he is the best footballer under the sun?
It shows how fickle sport is,you can go from hero to zero in a second,it applies to all careers though.

But you know,i am certain if David wanted to,he could get out of the contract with LA Galaxy,it can be done.Just like Figo did with the Saudi team he was going to join. But i do think that David has made a bigger comitment and wouldnt do that, but you never know.It must be hard for him, very hard.

I also feel a bit of "trying to save my face" scenario here from Calderon,so he can in the end say;Well we tried to get him out and make him stay"

It will be interesting to see how this resovles............

I am glad they reacted this fast:

Agent: Beckham Sticking to Galaxy Deal
LONDON -- David Beckham is sticking to his plan: He's bound for the Los Angeles Galaxy next month -- regardless of what anyone says.

"There is no intention of getting out of the Galaxy deal or reneging on the Galaxy deal," agent Simon Oliveira told The Associated Press on Sunday.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon was quoted in the Spanish media as saying that he would try to persuade the England star to stay and would use an escape clause in Beckham's Galaxy contract to withdraw from the deal.

"We have to sit down with him, his representatives and with (Madrid sport director Predrag) Mijatovic, take a look at that clause and decide among us," said Calderon, speaking at the French Open final in Paris. "But for me, I would love it if he stayed at our club."

There is no evidence, however, such an escape clause exists. Oliveira said Beckham, who has just returned to the England lineup, was going ahead with his move to Major League Soccer.

"David is looking forward to going to the States," Oliveira said. "But he wants to end his career at Real Madrid on a high note first, by winning La Liga."

Calls to the Galaxy in Los Angeles were not immediately returned.

Beckham's contract with Real Madrid ends June 30 and he is set to move to MLS around mid July. He could win his first major trophy with Madrid if the team beats Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next weekend in the last round.

Madrid rallied to a 2-2 tie at Zaragoza on Saturday, with Beckham starting for Madrid despite not being fully fit after spraining his ankle while playing for England against Estonia in a European Championship qualifier Wednesday. England won that game 3-0, with Beckham setting up two goals.

Barcelona and Madrid both have 73 points, though Madrid wins the title on head-to-head results if they remain tied in the standings Sevilla has 71 points.

I think that going out on a high like winning the la liga in front of 80,000 crazy Madrid mad supporters and then going to play D.C united in front of 20 something thousand people a lot of whom are only there to watch him and not the team will soon make him feel like he left to soon.

He can't really manage to play for England and LA so he will soon suffer with that.

Its a shame that being dumped from the England team made him work so much harder but also made him decide to go to LA way to soon IMO.

Also I bet Galaxy are pretty pissed that he played while injured no matter how minor.
