After seeing the cover, I was so excited to see what this issue would consist of, but unfortunately, I'm disappointed. Dazed is really a hit-and-miss when it comes to content and this time, it's mostly a miss IMO. Jessica's shots from the Cass Bird editorial are my favourite pictures to come out of this issue.
She is amazingly talented! I love that she landed a cover.. But actually don't like it. It also reminds me of this cover, darii, only worse. I didn't like that Interview cover for MK and also don't like this. You can hardly see her face. And creatively speaking, I just don't think the cover or whatever it is they were going for works. </3 I also don't like the spread..those extensions are so annoying.
ETA: This is really OT but does anyone besides me find it weird how lately there seems to be so much editorial/fashion content that is about 'skin complexion' or the altering of it? It's really disturbing IMO RE: the main editorial, the cover and 'Beyond the Pale', though I can see that Beyond the Pale is also about the clothes. Idk, maybe it's been everywhere for a while and I haven't noticed, but it's just recently coming to my attention and seeming so ubiquitous.
Very cool issue!
I really like Most Wanted. I think it's perfect with the white backdrop; with anything else added it would be too tacky.
I like Chloe's ed too, but it doesn't always look like her in every photo.
I'm starting to regret that I've dumped Dazed&Confused couple of months ago, because - with exception of January issue - their recent covers are very good and interesting. Love Saoirse, love this cover and her shoot.
