Delpozo F/W 14.15 New York

the hype surrounding this brand is really baffling to me :ninja:

At least the garments are perfectly constructed and the fabrics look great, which is something no other NY designer can say about his clothes. Not my cup of tea, though.

I think the move to a more practical silhouette is obvious and interesting. Even though I loved the voluminous skirting in his last two collections, this is definitely more wearable for every day. Some shapes are more successful than others, but I love the colors he went for and the chiffon embellishments are still incredibly dreamy and fantastic.

Absolutely stunning. The knits and the plaids look so comfy and warm (sometimes I wonder with brands during F/W not presenting anything that looks warm). The dresses are etherial as always. Everything looks well constructed and actually tailored to the models. Love

Well the hype is well deserved. The clothes are fabulous they border on couture. Del Pozo is a Paris level show.
DelPozo blows the new band of designers like Wang, Altuzarra and Gaurang out of the water.

Phenomenal, this will be hard to beat. That red dress along with the coats shows the perfect construction and fit. The details, the colours and the silhouettes are fantastic.

The brand is going in the right way, is getting more attention, good job Font.

Very pretty collection, as usual, but the sweetness of it all is losing its luster. Feel like I have seen this all from them before. They did adopt a few more practical silhouettes, but I still cannot see most of translating well off the runway. Just pretty showpieces.

The opening look is stellar. That combination of luxurious homeliness and comfort, and exact tailoring is perfectly executed with subtlety there. Then it starts to unravel-- despite the obviously luxe tailoring, as the looks roll out.

I can't really imagine most women in these geometric jackets and coats, high-waisted fairy tale princess skirts and gowns and elongated capes unless they were super-thin and super-tall-- a model. I think most average-sized women would be completely drowning in these designs, or looking like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. And the very Paco Rabanne studded pieces do look great, but once again, the sleekness of it will get lost unless worn by women with impossibly long legs-- models.

As sweet, and nice looking as they appear on the models, most of these looks would look... plain, or silly, on most women.

The pant in the first look is a joke. The fit is awful! They look okay in the picture, but awful and so unflattering, even hard to navigate, when moving. And how many women can wear something like that, or like this entire collection? The cut just seems so odd. It all looks uncomfortable and incredibly staunch. The silhouettes just aren't appealing or flattering, at all!

This is very refreshing to see in NY. It's beautiful, to begin with...:)

have to say for the crap we have to traipse through in NY,i do find this quite refreshing. this is how you interpret influences properly and distinctly. even though it's noticeable it's not literal. i like the sort of structural sensibility...makes me think of the late geoffrey beene mixed with a subtle dashes of,as mentioned, paco and even hint of courreges(those crisp almost 2-dimensional shapes are very reminiscent of that style). there's even an element of artisanship he blended into the collection that somehow works.

Quite brilliant it's wearable and stunningly crafted.

Count me as another that's still on the bandwagon -- gorgeous tailoring, charm that does not verge on pretension, and overall loveliness.
