So interesting to compare these two just from a show standpoint. The models from the SS23 show seem stiff, almost insecure in these kind of clothes, compared to the Gucci and YSL presentation where it is much more severe, seductive and strict - you believe (or at least I did haha) that these women actually enjoy wearing these clothes.

His work was some of the best of the aughts IMO, I've bought a number of his pieces and they're so well made and constructed 🩷 I have this suit from the S/S 2008 collection, it's so well cut.

Her actual swan song is SS18, let's be real and honest, an actual and proper Gianni's tribute collection.
At the end, if you look at the collections released after that one, you can really notice how Versace under Donatella x Kors really sucked: nothing memorable, nothing new brought to the fashion conversation, the brand was actually only relying on its name influence. The only iconic item from over 15 collections were the triple stacked tacky platforms from FW21...
