Designers for UNIQLO

Hey, runner, can you comment a little bit more on that brand? They opened a store in Soho, and I've passed by quite a few times, but never walked in. Is it worth looking at? TIA.

in their normal stuff, maybe there is almost nothing you'd like to get, faust.
it might be too basic for you.
over here it's something Rei seems to check in person. but I think she is interested in it because she is the president as well as the designer.

but it would be interesting for you to look at those collections.
especially Scye is unexpected for that kind of project. it's popular in a small-scale way among tailoring maniacs.

Wait... Rei is designing UNIQLO?

UNIQLO will sell clothes designed by mint designs, Thestre products, Scye, Iliad,
Nicolas Andreas Taralis, Felipe, Adam Jones in the fall.
each capsule collection seems to consist of about 10 items.

:shock: :o :woot::buzz:

What is it exactly? A brand of some sort like Top Shop or something??? Sounds interesting but I'm not so keen on basics though.

YAY! I knew Uniqlo would pull something like this out of the bag.

No, it's more like Muji except dealing with basic clothes. Like a Japanese Gap except more streamlined.

wow! i'm super into this! and, of course, uniqlo (along with every other awesome thing) is not available in sad little out-of-the-way halifax.

Awaiting for these! Actually Uniqlo already had collaboration with Eley Kishimoto last summer, but only print on simple tee with very reasonable price.

I have some uniqlo stuff, it's pretty decent for basic clothing and the dead cheap price. And yeah I didn't Rei was involved in the company in this kinda way 0_0

The stuff they have in Japan is nicer than the stuff here.... gosh I hope these collections come out either here or HK!

sorry for my bad English tott
I meant that she dropped by the store to observe how they manage it. maybe checking out the prices, quality, etc.
it has been something which is always talked about by the economic world rather than by the fashion industry.
roughly speaking, they rose from fleece stuff to theory, and so Helmut Lang.

btw, Yohji Yamamoto inc. was officially involved in Muji (domestic products).
and Wim Neels, as a successor to Jack Henry, in overseas Muji,
I don't know they are still doing it though.

you're welcome Jun

UNIQLO does make pretty decent basics, particularly their cashmere sweaters which goes for around $70USD in Japan.

It'll be very interesting to see how this turns out!

Thank you runner.

That I never knew! Did a quick google and it seems YY inc. designs the Muji Labo line, and is on the advisory board to Muji and helps them to improve the cut of their clothes.
:bounce:

Cool. I guess with all the shipping/tariffs/taxes the prices won't be so basic anymore in New York. I'll check them out next time i'm in Soho (today? :P).

No problem at all runner! :flower:

I didn't know YY was involved in Muji, you learn something new every day! I like Muji...
