Desperate Housewives - Season 8 - Latest from TV Guide

James Denton is proving there's life after death on Wisteria Lane. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has invited James, along with a handful of other actors who took their deaths gracefully (ahem), to appear in the May 13 series ender.

"I'm pretty stoked," says the former Mike Delfino. "A lot of great actors will be on that street — Steven Culp [Rex], Roger Bart [George], Richard Burgi [Karl], among others. If you gotta be dead, that's pretty good company." Add Lupe Ontiveros (Mama Solis) to the list, plus at least one more victim who will die in the finale, Marc says.

I've just discovered this part od the forum!!!
Yesterday i watched the episode 8x17, it was the saddest ever:( . I love this series, it's been with me since my highschool days until now, it is like your friend leaving somewhere.

What a fantastic final episode! It was so heartfelt, emotional and gripping.

I'm just wondering if they'll continue the show on, with how they left it open at the end of the episode, whether they'll continue under a different name such as 'Wisteria Lane' or just 'Desperate Housewives' but all I want to know is What the hell was in that box ?.

Well, we never trully found out what happened to their friend who shot herself. I always thought it would end up with the conclusion about it.

I was a bit dissapointed with the season finale, they didnt see each other again?? As people said lynette and susan share a grandchild! Maybe im just bitter because I wanted them all to grow old together on the lane! Sob! I need a life haha

I think they meant that their four never met again :( but probably some of them met, lik Lynette and Susan. I have to admit, I was disappointed with the finale too, but just like you, because I expected something different and what is more I expected more of Mary Alice.

Emmy winner Kathryn Joosten died of lung cancer Saturday. She was 72.

The actress, best known for her role on Desperate Housewives as plucky neighbor Karen McCluskey and as The West Wing's secretary Mrs. Landingham, was surrounded by family and friends in Westlake Village, Calif., at the time of her death.

"Kathryn passed away this morning after a valiant fight against her cancer," Nadine Jolson, Joosten's rep, told E! News. "Her family was with her. Funeral arrangements are pending. This is a terrible loss, and she fought as hard as she could."

She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan (and his wife Jeremy and their son Jon Henry) and Timothy (and his wife Karissa and their son Evan James), who released this statement: "The family of Kathryn Joosten, two-time Emmy winner, long-time Governor of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, lung cancer advocate, and so much more, regrets to announce that Kathryn succumbed to her 11-year battle with lung cancer today, June 2, 2012, surrounded by love and humor til the end. Thanks to everyone for their love and support. We are laughing through our tears. We love you, Kathy, thanks for everything."

Her costar Felicity Huffman Tweeted Saturday, "All my prayers and love to Katherine (sic) Joosten's family. Rest in peace, she was an amazing woman and a wonderful actress."
