Desperate Housewives

Alright! I'll confess! I love Desperate Housewives  I'm addicted - I'm even Tivo-ing the reruns of the first season to watch again...oh, the shame :ninja:

^ i thought the second season doesn't start until next year.

I am also addicted to this already!!!

I also love Grabrielle FashionJunkie! That woman is stunning and i love her character too!

Addictive show indeed :innocent: I just hope the second season won't be dissapointment. And I hope Paul and Edie would leave..

I thought the beginning of the season was very good, but the later episodes were weaker. They didn't hold my interest as much, and I felt that a lot of the storylines weren't really explored as much as they should have been, or they were rushing too much to wrap things up.

Yep ..I watch it! And I love it. But in the start it used to be more amusing and exciting, but nowadays it's a bit boring and it's lost it's old "glam"

i just watched the last episode right now after i Tivo'ed it. It's so sad...

The second series has just ended in the UK, have they started filming the third?

^ It hasn't, but filming will begin.

I'm sorry if people will be offended but please, please, please, I need to rant a bit....

The first season was enjoyable. But, the second season completely bombed. The storylines were outrageously melodramatic and almost pathetic. What with all of Bree's drinking and the fact that there seems to be a disabled kid locked up in the basement. Oooooohh, interesting. ^_^ Bree's children (especially the son, and not because he's playing gay) also annoyed the hell out of me. Teri Hatcher's character and Teri Hatcher herself was incomprehensible. Her character actually dressed up in a bridal dress and was sobbing in the middle of the street... while she released a (failed) book. while everyone watched. The show has become overtly overramatic and no longer deserves any of the praise it recieved early on.

What has become of "Desperate Housewives?" I actually remember standing up for the show last year when my friends all dismissed it. Now, I'm ashamed. And yet the ratings still remain high and I still manage to catch a few episodes that I choose to watch.... I simply don't understand... Why? Why? Why?

I really like Desperate Housewives, Bree's my favourite. But does anyone know when Desperate Housewives' thrid season is released in New Zealand, we're so behind on the seasons.

I totally get what you mean. "Susan" is downright pathetic and so is her mother. :yuk: At one point, "Susan" was asking her daughter what she should do and I was aghast! And that conniving b*tch of a "Lynette". I suppose the show does manage to provoke certain emotions out of you but if I feel extremely irritated / annoyed after watching it, I guess it's not something I'd really want to watch on a weekly basis.
"Gabrielle" is fun to watch in a silly comedy kind of way but that's about it (and personally, I don't think the producers meant for her character to have that effect).
And it will NEVER EVER come close to SATC. So there.

I second that it won't ever come close to SATC. SATC made me feel refreshed everytime I turned it on. It was so truthful and I miss it. DH is very of the time as well but it relates to a different woman and a different age group I believe. I love DH and I think its funny, but it also gives a very domestic message. I still watch every Sunday, It gets me ready for my week at work. I think whatever these ladies are going through, someone really must have experienced, and my life is easier than that and I feel positive

Bree and Lynette are my favorites. I can't stand Bree's kids! If I had kids like that, I'd drink too.
