here is the translation from the TUSH article
The spring/summers campaign for Miu Miu in 2003 - photogrphed from Mario Testino - was her the big breakthrough. Since then the Romanian is booked regularly for campaigns for the biggest fashion houses (for example by Balenciaga, TSE, Emanuel Ungaro, Celine, Nina Ricci, Donna Karan, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, YSL, Chanel, Strenesse). In the short time of her career she already worked with the world-best photographers. For example with: Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Greg Kadel, Ellen von Unwerth.
The 23-year-old who was discovered in Bucharest on the street unites beauty and intelligence in special way. Beside the model jobs she succeeded among other things to finish her English study and Spanish study as one of the best. She is represented by the world-biggest model agency IMG.
What do you love about modelling and what is absolutely unnecessary?
I like the obvious things which we take, however, often as a matter of course. Travelling to overwhelming places all over the world, to work with fascinating people, the wonderful clothes etc., However, I love especially this work which realises an image, a picture, a vision, to be integrated directly and be involved, in the visions, that the photographers or designers have.
I do not think that there is only one single unnecessary point in the world of fashion. Just everything belongs together to create these ideas.
If there is something unnecessary, then it is a hairbrush because I never use one if I do not work...
What must a job have, so that you like him?
Hm, good question...a good, relaxed, self-confident, understanding photographer.
Diana is wonderful and intelligent. Is this a compliment or is there something else behind it?
I take it as a compliment and I am very happy that the people me see this way. And I am sure the compliment applies very well to many other models.
If you have the chance to change something in the fashion industry, what would it be?
I wouldn't change anything, anything at all; the good and the bad things make the whole so unusual; sometimes it's hard but this forms your character, sometimes it is affectionately, that gives you self confidence, sometimes it's shallow, but this wakes up the wish in you to look for other things.
Do you like, what you see when the photos are ready or are printed in the magazine?
Mostly... I love to invent a character, I love to slip out of my skin and to become somebody else, I love it to be different kind of women. So it probably does not sound too narcissistic , if I say, yes, I love these pictures.
