Biography
Based in New York, French stylist Diego Da Silva began his career as a freelance session stylist in Paris, where he trained under celebrated hairstylist Odile Gilbert. Under Gilbert’s tutelage, Da Silva styled runway shows across Europe and began shooting for Vogue Italy and France. Da Silva has since become established in his own right, earning international recognition for his technique and artistic innovation.
A creative force and trendsetting stylist, Da Silva’s work has been featured in Allure, Numéro, Vogue (China, Paris, Russia, Germany, Australia, Italy, Turkey, and U.S.), W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine, Muse, Intermission, 10 Magazine, Hero, and the New York Times T Magazine.
Da Silva has worked closely with noted photographers Craig McDean, Peter Lindbergh, Karl Lagerfeld, Patrick Demarchelier, Tom Munro, Cedric Buchet, Sebastian Kim, Yelena Yemchuck, Paola Kudacki, Regan Cameron, Victor Demarchelier, Benjamin Lennox, Greg Kadel, Billy Kidd, Nathaniel Goldberg, and Jean Baptiste Mondino. His influential styling has helped shaped campaigns for Bottega Veneta, Club Monaco, Maybelline, Michael Kors, Victoria’s Secret, Elie Saab, Honor, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tiffany’s, Donna Karan, and Max Mara. Da Silva also brings his distinctive vision to fashion week, collaborating with La Perla, Moschino, Zegna, Bill Blass, Costello, and Nina Ricci on their runway shows.
His versatile talent also attracts a celebrity clientele that includes Alexa Chung, Elizabeth Olsen, Demi Moore, Cate Blanchett, and Juliette Binoche.
