Centered on three subcultural themes, Diesel presents its Pre-Fall 2015 collection with a strong helping of leather, denim and bleach-splashed garments.Marking the second seasonal showing from artistic director Nicola Formichetti, the Italian-Japanese designer once again captures the youthful spirit of Diesel in this winter collection. Entitled Wolfpack, the Men’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection draws inspiration from the style and fabrics worn by bikers of the `50s and punks of the `80s. The theme perfectly taps into the three timeless pillars of the brand, biker, denim and leather – all of which are deliberately mixed together in a brazen display of dressing anti-establishment. As you’d expect from the brand a heavy selection of premium denims, directional washes and fabric technologies are included throughout.

In an interview with ****ingyoung Magazine Nicola said “For F/W 15 I was inspired by the spirit of the wolf. Wolves have both a sweet and aggressive side, and that duality in their nature is key. You will see this duality running throughout the collection. It’s about a group of people united by a shared, like a pack of wolves. They are very free. They have no boundaries on what to wear for day or nighttime, what is dressy or what is casual — it’s all mixed up together in a modern way. They take inspiration from different sub cultures and make it new and interesting. There are different moods within the collection but all of them have this philosophy.”

Here we look at the three stories Pop Riot, Fade to Blue and Night Rider.
Taking inspiration from the rebel youths of rockabilly `50s through to the punk defiance of the `80s through to the house and grunge influences of the `90s, Pop Riot delivers a a range of renegade silhouettes like truckers, biker jackets and skinny pants are lifted with leathers, sewn on patches, spikes, studs and vibrant colour combinations.
The core indigo story of the three themes, Fade to Blue’s looks to a range pale denims with heavy wash treatments like bleached out trucker sleeves and delicate fringing. A strong `50s theme runs throughout with satin bomber jackets in pale blue and pink shades with embroidered wolf motif on the rear. The final story presents a new way of styling for the evening, presenting a selection of hybrid product that work from day to night. A strong focus on surface with resin coated denims, graphic prints and a mashup of denims and leather. Tailored jackets are given a casual accent with slender tuxedo style suits cut from dark inky denim, while biker jackets and truckers are updated in beautifully laundered blacks.
