Dior Gaucho

I was talking to an SA about a week ago, she was talking fast but I think she said the $1650 price was for the denim, and that the leather costs $2500 I think I must have misunderstood though, that seems a bit unresonable.

Also, they're a little *too* worn looking... that brown one looks like it's been under the *** of a sweaty cowboy for too long. Ick!

I guess I just like more polished pieces.

I agree with you, I dont like that red one either, all the wear didn't show on the runway pics... The leather also seemed to look better. I'm hoping maybe the white isn't so worn.

Thanks for the pics lilygirl! From what I can see the white is quite nice, it's not so worn looking like the red.

agree! the red looks quite different in the picture! SA said the red looks pretty in real. i think u should go to the shop and see the real thing!!!

yes, i like the soft leather too!!! white absolutely is the best color! it's very easy to match with everything.

SA not sure the exact price when i asked for..she said it's between $12000-$15000 HKD.

for the green gaucho, SA didn't mention about it. she said the red and white are the best when she saw all of them. let me give her a call tomorrow and ask her abt the green!

Ur soooo right ,, i was really considering it ,, but when i read ur commment , i re think about it ,, ur true ,, those detailz are soooo sensitive and u've got to be carefull with it ,, its really un-comfortable.. i have a denim saddle with flower patches and strass ,,, since i got it and up till now 3 pieces of the starsss had fallen off ,,am really worried all the time when am carrying it ..thanx again sweet heart ,, dior people would killl u for ur clever notice looooooool ...

glad I could help! I know what you mean about having to be too careful with something. I think the Peru saddle would look horrible once some of the pieces fell off, and I wouldn't want to feel like I threw $1800+ down the drain. I have a saddle bag family myself and try to buy ones that won't get messed up too easily. I can't wait for the gaucho to come out, I wonder if I'll love it more than saddle bags

i just put my name on the list for the gaucho bag at the Dior NYC boutique... the list did not look horrendously long. i had a hard time deciding which one, but in the end decided on the blue denim one... i just love how rugged and casual it looks.

the SA told me they are expecting shipment around Feb. 15, and the final price has not been determined yet, but it could range anywhere between $1000-$1900 depending on material (leather vs. denim), size, etc.

some of the colors they had were: white leather, brick red leather, brown/tan leather (i did not see the olive green leather on their list), denim which came in 2 color combos

there are many styles of the gaucho, but i think the most popular ones will be the shoulder bag ones, and they come in 3 sizes: large double saddle, medium single saddle, small single saddle
they also come in tote style, evening bag style

CAN'T WAIT!!!!
