I agree, the black is nice. What's even nicer is that it actually looks decent with that suit!

is it me, or are these bags not available yet. I thought mid Feb. and this one looks a bit stiff, no?
I saw a real one on a photoshoot some months back and it was really slouchy and soft.

Dulci -- Cute shoes. I actually had the chunkier version of those on my list in the biggining, but have taken those out and replaced them with another pair. I've really narrowed down to my most favorite shoes, and I still have like 7 pairs on the list. I wanted to get more clothes, but can't bear to give up any shoes

I got a medium gaucho bag today - for anyone debating between the medium and large, if you are used to bigger bags (B-City bag, paddington, spy) get the large. The medium is only 3-1/2 inches wide so it does not hold very much. Based on the size of the medium, the large will not be too large. The bag is great though - definately different and worth the wait.

I'm usually more into handbags....do you think it would stupid if I put the strap on the last notch and carried it dangling from my arm like a handheld or is it strictly shoulder? I'm just wondering if I should've got the tote, but I don't think the tote is as nice looking as the shoulder bags. It kind of looks weird, IMO. Thanks for any input!

Ooh you should carry it like how the models carried theirs on the runway...double the shoulder strap and hold it in your hand

I just did it - I think it looks fine that way. What color did you get? I got the red.
Foxie - the strap is not nearly as long as the ads would have you believe. THe strap on the balenciaga city is probably longer.
Thanks for trying it, Cougess! I just didn't want to look stupid if I decided to do it that way. I asked my husband and he just rolled his eyes. I got the brown. I didn't get to see the red...Saks didn't have it. It looks beautiful on the pics. I might have went with red if I could've seen it IRL. What do you think of the tote one? It's on page 6 of this thread.

I see.....I didn't know there's 2 sizes. So that's how Penelope Cruz has it on her shoulder in US Weekly! I saw that pic and I couldn't figure out how she got the tote on page 6 of this thread on her shoulder. I know she's skinny, but those straps are small!! I think I'll give my SA a call tomorrow and have her call me when one comes in. I'm not going to use my bag for awhile..it's an anniversary gift. I got it at Saks, so I have a longer return period.

HOoray, I got a medium Gaucho today!!!!!!!!! I was walking past Milan Station in Hong Kong and they had the green/brown colour in the window. They had it, and the dark red one, which was also nice.
The Funniest thing was, I had been into Dior last week to pre-order one, then decided not to. I changed my mind and rang them and they said the pre-order list had CLOSED! So, imagine my surprise this morning when I saw the beauty hanging in the window of Milan Station (a shop that sells mainly second-hand designer bags, but also a limited collection of new bags). I couldn't believe it was in the window and no-one had taken it!!
So excited....it's really soft leather, but not so slouchy that it doesn't sit right.
LOVE IT!!!!
