i know...she looks like a strange duck...
it really worries me that people like sean are thinking that this look is natural or normal because it is becoming so common with a certain group of people in the public eye...NO ONE is born looking like a duck...
not donatella, not elizabeth hurley and not posh spice...it's really very easy to spot them...

I have a nut allergy which, if I eat some nuts my mouth swells up like a duck (or posh spice, however you want to look at it). This is not normal - this is a bad allergic reaction - people are not supposed to look like this. I look terrible when this happens - completely abnormal. These people inject chemicals into their body to make their lips swell up like they are having an allergic reaction. If you stand back from it & just think about it for a minute....is that not really stupid? Whats wrong with thin lips anyway? I am sure the notion that big fat lips are attractive derives from some kind of misogynistic starting point which I am sure none of these people think about.

i think macchiom's point is well taken...the rumour doesn't really make sense...because 20 % would not give them enough control...control and money is why they fell out with the powers at gucci... :ermm:

tom and dom didn't own a majority stake in the gucci group either. they were employed by it....and there have long been rumors that various members have contemplated offering shares of the company publicly.

That’s right, but they need backing from Allegra to make major changes, without that they can’t do anything even if they were to buy Donatella’s part of the company. And to be honest I find it hard to imagine that they will put themselves in the same position as they were in at the Gucci Group, knowing that their future in the company isn’t up to themselves to decide.

Nothing wrong with thin lips at all. I'd rather see thin lips than collagen-injected ones.

i was more getting at that some members of the family might be ready to give up some of their control for a quick buck. they have to do something -- the longer they wait, the less money they'd get from a crippled company.

It's not misognyistic - both sexes have out turned (we're the only species with out turned lips) , reddened (hence lipstick) lips because they mimic the genatalia. It's a sex symbol.

I think the only places I would like to see Tom would be at either Versace or a high-security prison.

:ninja: hehe prison

Tom is crazy! I love him. I love his comment in GQ, it goes a little something like this:

"Every man should be F**ked at least once in his life, it's just like a massage"

HA.

:flower: Hey guys new thread...:bounce:

Instead of putting versace down... lets put a spin on things to make it more fun.. You think your too good for versace... then voice how you would run it if you were incharge... :shifty: Stay on topic... otherwise Lena will delete your posts

  1. If you were to design for versace what would have in your collection?
  2. Where would you draw inspiration from?
  3. How would you solve finacial problems of such a special company?
  4. Have you ever met Donatella?
  5. Have you ever gone to Versace fashion shows?
  6. Like me... do you also know any versace models?
  7. Do you own anything from this collection?
  8. Are you buying anything from next collection?
 The versace goddess has spoken :hardhead:

If I were to design for Versace, I would totally revamp it. It needs a REAL breath of fresh air. Versace is lagging behind in terms of the innovative train. You can keep sexy and still try new things. I would draw inspiration from the England Prep mixed in with the cool and sauve way of Italian dressing while playing with the Medusa logo.

To solve the problem of debt, you'd have to design things people like I guess so that would regain people's interest in the house.

Never met Donatella and I don't think I would.

I would not mind going to a Versace fashion show. I would have loved to be at the Spring 2001 RTW show or the Fall 2002 RTW show.

I know 0 Versace models. I know 0 models (lol)

I have seen some things that would work nice in my wardrobe. I thought these outfits were nice:

love the revamped , civil 'temple of versace' thread..
keep it this way guys

Well i think that Versace should have more product awareness with youth...

Look at Louis Vuitton and brands like that these girls want to buy it because they think its trendy and cool... i barely see versace advertised... mabye on one page in vogue occasionally... like they send me out catalogues in the mail each season which is really nice... they need to target the young and stupid :bounce:

Also mabye if they had a handbag range that would stay around longer than a season it would raise customer awareness and thus increasing sales... Why should Louis Vuitton get all the money from these sheep
