great thread, there was an article about it in style.com  .
I personally find it a bit hard to follow because it seems more theatrical than other trends but i think it would be a lot of fun to pull it off. :woot:

wow. It is quite theatrical and would be interesting to try and work into everyday life but there are some great pieces here

Whoa, that undercover picture is a bit scary. Great pics, though. Forgot to mention that.

 i think so.
just open a hole down the sleeves and voilà.

ive seen quite alot of people on the street wearing a teeshirt and image printed on the front is a mini tee shirt or something i guess this is kind of simular and more wearable day to day.

This Undercover might qualify... looking hard enough, I see what I think is a little girls' dress hanging from the skirt, and whatever's peeking out from the sweater must be a garment of types?...

I'll return with examples that aren't from Undercover, ie., aren't predictable. Soon! ^_^

Some of the pieces alone could be fabulous. But together (with the exception of a few) just... aren't. On the runway, yes. On the street, at least for me, no.

trompe l'oeil is when something is PAINTED to look 3 dimensional and like something else...

this is ACTUALLY 3D...;)

I think this is so cool in theory but I don't know about it ever being a huge street trend. I think it is sweet anyways :flower:

Yes, very interesting to see but very hard to translate into street. It would look as if one were trying to hard, and a little bizarre as well, don't you think?

^Here's one not so bizarre... From Prada s/s 06
When you see the closeup, it actually doesn't seem like two pieces--it seems very flat where the seam should be. It's like it's just been cut near the shoulders and painted to make it look like they're separates.
