I'm not sure if this post belongs here, so if a mod needs to move it please do so!
So, I purchased a dress for my "debut" from a local dress shop within the last month. Now, the event was last Friday, but we had dress issues up to the day. I needed a size 10 for my dress, maybe a 12 so it would fit my chest, and they would take it in for my waist. The owner of the shop ordered a size 16
which I do not wear... so, the dress comes in I go and try and on and of course it falls right off my body, but the company is "out" of that dress of course... so I go to the seamstress and she takes it in in the chest and in the waist (mind you the bodice is beaded). I go back when it is finished and it still doesn't look right because they had to take it in so much and if they took it in any more, it would ruin the dress. So I had to live with an extra inch around my waist with tightened lining. Now, they had to take my dress in around 10 inches in the waist... do I confront the owner of the store? She did the same thing to another girl- she needed a 0 and it to be taken in (this girl ways about 90 lbs and she's healthy and has a teeny frame) but the owner ordered a size 6. What should I do????
