Dries Van Noten S/S 2026 Paris | the Fashion Spot

Dries Van Noten S/S 2026 Paris

Wow, this one was a hard watch. It's weird, because things that worked well in the menswear collection, look completely out of place here. But this doesn't even make sense as a collection, there's no cohesion, and almost no intention.

The success of the sneakers was the worst thing to happen for this brand. They brought down all the looks here. We don’t need Dries to become a sneaker streetwear brand.

Much like the men’s show, this feels like it belongs in LFW. His eye for colours and prints is uninspiring. Frankly speaking, they’re an eyesore here. I don’t know or recognize who this Dries woman is. A few looks verge on juvenile. It lacks Dries’s sophistication and maturity.

I liked his debut. But with his men’s show and now this, I’m still not sold on his vision. I see nothing to buy.

I love it, i understand its a bit watery down, but lovely for me. I do agree that the sneakers in every single look its a bit boring, but the clothes i loveeee

^^^ Absolutely trash those basic Vasarely prints that belongs in a Christopher John Rogers Target collab from a few years ago ASAP

But pierce pass the tired juvenile London Fashion Week styling that gives off a stench of riot grrrrrrrl— with the sleepy-eye and faux-mullets; the panties with jacket look; and those obnoxious sneakers, all on a sad, grey setting. Trash all of that. Replace with a cast of gentlewomen with slicked-back hair in a chignon and a gentle smile; pull a pair of pants on over the panties; showcases structured footwear— heeled or flat, but structured and keep all the shimmering jewels for that romantic nomadic vibe; set it in a richly baroque, warm hearth of a hall to a soaring soundtrack of strings and wind instruments, and the superior designs of his debut never left— they’re still there. The cropped jackets and coats bejewelled with that eternal Dries casual romanticism are luscious.

Most of it is actually quite beautiful, but overshadowed by the incredibly garish colors towards the end. What an eyesore.

yeah…no.
I can’t point my finger to something precisely but it just feels soulless. there’s something missing here and I can’t say with certainty what it is. I am not convinced at all by this appointment. the last summer done by the studio was way better

Those are some of the ugliest prints I’ve seen in quite some time. Clearly the new designer does not have an eye for prints, and perhaps even color. Dries would have never used such garish tones and combinations. With that being said, it looks like Dries Van Noten and Versace are dressing clowns and circus freaks this season.

What a tragedy.
You can tell the Master has left the house and his student is trying hard to walk in his footsteps.

Where is the poetry, the softness, the generosity, the fabulousness, the richness.
First season of Julian was Haider Ackermann wannabe.
This one are the Marimekko fabric rolls leftovers styled on those wannabe MiuMiu flat sneakers.

I feel like the only person that could do Dries was Dries himself.
