Some of the women look truly horrifying; I had to laugh.
As for the menswear ... they're parading out a bunch of their old favourite tropes yet again, from the LORD² buckle (why is it on a beanie?) to the supersized fur trapper hats, muddy denim and layered jeans, but it's certainly not as fresh as it was more than 15 years ago. (To the haters, sorry, but yes there was a time when the sensibility at the root of this proposition, coming from the same people, was exciting and exuberant and authentic.)
I will say this for them: as easy as it is to trash this as trashy, and as trashy as, say, a slouchy peak-lapel tuxedo-jumpsuit inevitably is, they have tailored and styled it with more panache than Olivier Rousteing could do on the best day of his life, and I say that as someone who doesn't even like the piece in question. The Caten brothers get a lot of flack, and they are undeniably way past their prime, but they can still cut a jacket better than a lot of the so-called leaders of the industry these days.
