The Jazz Age and the vibrant atmosphere of Harlem’s Cotton Club served as main references for Dean and Dan Caten’s seductive yet cool Dsquared2 collection. The lineup, ideal for a contemporary Josephine Baker, focused on Forties-inspired silhouettes. Feminine wool pencil skirts were cut high-waisted with under-the-knee lengths. They were paired with silk blouses and structured outerwear, such as a sophisticated wool coat in a deep orange.
Providing the collection with a young, urban glamour, the Caten brothers also worked denim in patchwork boyfriend jeans and a washed shirt worn under a cropped leather coat matched with baggy silk crepe pants.
