Probably the greatest love story of the 20th century, made all the more remarkable by the fact that she was a plain woman but obviously very stylish. I was lucky to see the exhibition of her famous jewelry when it was auctioned off at Sothebys.

If I could have any pearls, it would be the set of these 2 South Sea necklaces and pearl drop that was all bought by Calvin Klein.

Have you guys read "Famous Last Words" by Timothy Findley. The book paints a really bad picture of the two, or at least just Wallis.

No, but I have read much of what a b*tch she was. I dont think she really loved poor Edward, certainly not as much as he loved her.

I dont know why but i dont find her ugly as so many people did/do.
Her style was indeed impeccable!

I've always thought that supermodel Yasmin Le Bon resembles the Duchess of Windsor.

Timeless elegance, she had.

I love the way the designers reinvented her style for the 21st century.

Gah, this woman was deplorable! :yuk:

I read somewhere she was trained in the east by postitutes. She must of been fantastic in bed to snag Edward VIII.
