I just mean I don't care about "Duran Lantink for Gaultier", "Glenn Martens for Margiela" whatever whatever any MORE. Has nothing to do with those people regardless of their mediocrity. Fashion has become so obsessed with the idea of "the industry", all forms of creativity coming out from this culture are reduced down into a packaged commodified brand to eat like McDonalds french fries. Here's a new product for you! What if someone turned like I don't know Cy Twombly into a "brand", and all resources for creativity went into making this brand that under the guise of creativity was just to sell people a bunch of crap for a couple minutes. Oh boy I hope KAWS for Twombly next!! It's so obese and phony. Instead maybe someone could actually try being a patron again, believing in, nurturing someone to help create their own unique vision, bring that to life, instead of just leeching off someone to make as much money as they possibly can. All these people, JPG, Margiela, Ann D, they got to do what I'm trying to articulate. Imagine if they showed up in the system we have now. We would've NEVER seen anything like what they did. It would not exist. I hope that was somewhat coherent.
