I don't think they're trying to hide the fact that it's inspired by Helmut Lang. From the male model casting to the slicked hair to the industrial music soundtrack to the literal Helmut Lang tank worn by the designer at the end--it's pretty blatant in self-aware way. I also see nods to Gaultier. It's not my favorite collection from them because it seems a bit auto-pilot but I definitely enjoy it more than most collections during NYFW.
