hm.comTOP MODEL SECRETS: Edita Vilkevičiūtė
She is the fashion world’s darling – Lithuanian supermodel Edita Vilkevičiūtė tells H&M Life about her career highlights and love for Nirvana and basketball.
Two characteristics that define a supermodel: the ability to do high fashion and still have the appeal of a (extremely beautiful) girl next door. Those qualities have made Lithuanian Edita Vilkevičiūtė one of the most successful models in the business, and a favourite for everyone from Balenciaga to Victoria’s Secret. cotyFrom COTY and Roberto Cavalli, comes Roberto Cavalli Paradiso, a second pillar under the Cavalli fragrance line that introduces a different look and feel from Roberto Cavalli’s globally successful signature fragrance launch.
“The previous scent was more in the territory of seduction, sexiness, glamour,” said COTY Group Vice President of Global Marketing ,Caroline Javoy. “This is another side of the brand that tries to capture that feeling we have when we’re on vacation.”
The Roberto Cavalli Paradiso woman exudes charm, glee and brightness. She is optimistic and has a sunny disposition. She makes the most of life and transforms every occasion into a precious opportunity to be savoured and treasured. She understands that style and glamour are, more than a posture, a true way of life.
Roberto Cavalli Paradiso was conceived by master perfumer Louise Turner (Givaudan). An exquisite woody floral, it is a symphony of sun-filled notes inspired by the Italian landscapes. The green-gold color scheme on the packaging was intended to be suggestive of the sun setting over the Mediterranean, an idea inspired by Cavalli’s love of the sea.
The birth of this new fragrance is celebrated through a world-wide multi-platform campaign with Roberto Cavalli Paradiso’s new face, Edita Vilkeviciute. Edita is an acclaimed supermodel whose career was propitiously launched by her runway debut for Cavalli. Scintillating and sexy, she radiates a stunning form of beauty and an aura of grace and modernity.
For Roberto Cavalli Paradiso’s ad print, Edita was shot by Mario Sorrenti, an Italian photographer renowned for his glamorous clichés of the world’s most beautiful women. The matching TV commercial was filmed in the Mediterranean by Jonas Akerlund. A visual feast of light and colours, it is a striking tribute to Roberto Cavalli’s conception of Paradiso.
My goodness that editorial is incredible. Edith just gives off such a lovely warm vibe from her work, a part of me misses she edgy high fashion side though.
they are reposts though![]()
