i so love Elley Kishimoto, obviously i cant wait to have a look at their new project

The Olympic Games may be over, but for the London-based design duo Eley Kishimoto, the sporting life has only just begun. Next month, Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto will unveil their first capsule collection in collaboration with the Italian activewear label Ellesse. The collection, Eley Kishimoto Ellesse, is the first in a three-season deal and features tennis-inspired separates. The clothing will have its own runway show, on schedule, during London Fashion Week.

:woot:

This sounds great.... I take it that it's going to be stuff for the gym, etc?

I would love a pair of yoga pants with this print :D

omg...it's adorable...thx for the pics runner.. :flower:

so i guess this will be their only collection this season?...

I am not so keen - I liked what they did last winter but not liking this so much. I think its the boldness of it. tracksuits aren't doing much for me.

Helena, its for the "activewear" company Ellesse. Its not their label.

Are they doing actual tennis clothing, not just tennis-inspired? I ask because, player Elena Dementieva wears Ellesse....she'd be a doll in alot of their stuff!

it would just be SO cool to play a tennis match in one of those dresses :P :woot: i want one - the print is just gorgeous

i think it's both scott...but are they also doing their own collection is what i want to know...or is this it?...

thanks Scott

I do hope they are doing some of their own stuff. I do like their work but I think I find it too graphic for my taste & the cut really doesn't suit my bodyshape.

When it comes to sportswear, perhaps I am too uptight but, for me, I would rather sportswear & fashion were sepatate. If I want to play tennis, I go & buy a short white Lacoste tennis skirt, if I want to run, I buy a nike running outfit. Personally I don't really think crossover sports fashion has much merit. It allows people to be lazy dressers & to convince themselves that they are stylish at the same time because its branded with a fashion label. Just look at that idiot Britney Spears & her Juicy clad mob of knumskulls at her wedding.... Not that this Eley Kish. collection is anywhere on that scale!!

hmm, I liek it, but it's a tiny bti to marc jacobsy for me. the green print is veyr cute

I agree with you Helena. I too hate sportif clothing away from an actual sport. But its just the culture we live in now so Mark and Shinchiro(sp?)are sort of giving an interpretation.

Thanks Soft. I hope I get to see some of the players wearing some of this. And they are supposed to show their own collection, btw.
