if we cant use real fur then just stop using fur looking things that look cheap.

also if animals are cut alive making fur, the furs will be full of blood and will be damaged.

real fur is sustainable... much better than any plastic fur looking things. many animals die to serve their purpose everyday, its just how nature works. if not for fur, they will be eaten brutally by some snow lion. So better make them into something beautiful

When people stop domesticating every cat and dog then we can have a conversation about fur. "But they cannot live in the wild alone" Same for the animals in fur farms... "But they love me and their belly rubs" yeap cause they were forced to

Ok first Elie Saab RTW collection styled by Carine and it showed…
She brings all her tricks again but unlike the others brands she styled for, here it works even better.

Elie Saab is this kind of now-traditional international glamour i guess that doesn’t necessarily drive the fashion conversation but that a lot of women like. And with this collection, she is adding a bit of a fashion touch.

Of course, Elie Saab is always well made and everything but he also has the budget to have all the top models and suddenly what can look cheap at EF or NR looks more elevated here.

However, it would have been great to see Carine trying to detach herself from her personal style. I don’t think it helps her work at all to just replicate the same thing everywhere or doing the kind of lack of integrity thing she did at Nina Ricci.

And I also agree about fur. Ok, they all loves the look of fur. There are now alternatives in the treatment of shearling for example. Those brands are selling fake fur the same price as fur. There’s shearling, cashmere, sheepskin etc that are by-product (as this is the consensus everybody did to not use mink and others expensive furs).

I’m particularly annoyed when they are mixing real leather with fake fur. They hypocrisy…

It is a great improvement from him. BTW, I doubt the majority of high/luxury fashion clients would care about the cruelty of aninal skin/fur as much as they care about exploiting the majority to become 1% of the world.

Exactly ! I really don't want to see cheap acrylic Party City fur on a luxury fashion runway, put the damn Minks, Sables and Chinchillas back on the runway!

It's not terrible, but it's awfully safe. Same silhouettes for over a decade. Some editing would improve the cohesiveness of the collection. I like the technical approach to beadwork, but that's to be expected. This will sell well in the Middle East.
