as I was just watching the proenza schouler show I noticed that she was seated next to Glenda Bailey front row, so I did a little search. appearently she left Vogue and joined HB as a contributing senior fashion editor as of sep 6. does anyone know more about this? I wonder why she left?

Elissa Santisi is joining Harper’s Bazaar as a contributing senior fashion editor. Santisi comes to the magazine from Vogue, where she had been since 1998.

This is actually a return to Harper’s Bazaar for Santisi, as she served as the title’s senior fashion editor from 1993 to 1998, when she left to become Vogue’s style director.

“Elissa’s creativity will enhance our mission to inform and inspire, and I’m thrilled to welcome her to the Harper’s Bazaar team,” said Glenda Bailey, Harper’s Bazaar’s editor-in-chief.

Santisi starts at Harper’s Bazaar tomorrow.

Lord knows HB needs all the help it can get wasn't ever blown-away by any of Elissa's collabs with Raymond nor current work for US VOGUE. fingers-crossed !

^I always loved loved loved her work for vogue, but I have to agree with you I think her input will be really great for harpers bazaar in its current state. I wonder when we'll first see her work, in the november issue maybe?
