Apart from some very flirtatious - and public - Tweets back and forth to her new beau, Liz Hurley has remained very tight-lipped about Shane Warne. But the model has finally opened up about their long-distance romance, and said the time difference is a challenge.
As she promoted her swimwear range, she spoke about the Australian cricketer and how she feels very comfortable with him.
There were many raised eyebrows when she and Shane Warne went official with their romance just months after they separated from their spouses.
Speaking to Grazia, she said she was aware that they are very different but she said it was worth it.
She said: 'We come from very different worlds so I see that's fascinating, if not odd, to many. But it's not often you meet people you instantly feel comfortable with, and when you find that - even if there are vast differences and background and experiences - it's worth following through. When you recognise you have a lot in common with someone, it's nice to explore.'
However, Liz, 46, is also aware that the long-distance between them can be a problem at times. She added: 'The biggest problem is we're 23 hours apart. It's a challenge. We'll see what happens.'
Liz and Shane first met in July last year at the Goodwood races and were then spotted kissing in a London hotel. But they made their first public appearance at a friend's wedding in Sydney in February and have been very much a couple at star-studded and glitzy events ever since.
Last Thursday, Liz and Shane attended Sir Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball and on Saturday, Shane was by her side as she opened the Ampney Crucis Village Fete in Gloucestershire.
And Liz said her ex-husband Arun Nayar were on amicable terms and he regularly visits her, as well as ex-boyfriend, actor Hugh Grant. She said: 'Hugh and Arun are my two best friends. And I wouldn't have it any other way - I would feel bereft if it was. When someone has been so instrumental in your life you can't cut them out. It's like trying to annihilate your past.'
