While Elizabeth appeared to confirm she and the cricketer were no longer together by telling her followers that the events were 'too raw and personal to share right now', Warne seemed to directly contradict her by insisting that the pair hadn't 'thrown in the towel just yet'.

Their conflicting tweets came as Warne's ex-wife Simone Callahan, whose close friendship with the cricketer is believed to have been at the roots of Elizabeth's issues with her fiancé, was seen visiting the sportsman in Melbourne, Australia, where he is currently staying.

And Elizabeth appears to be seeking comfort in the arms of her ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant, who was seen leaving her London home after paying her a visit on Tuesday evening.
