Happy to see Elle! She looks great. Swimsuit isn't sexy, but considering both her age (I'm sure she looks fantastic underneath it however I don't blame her for not wanting to prance about in a bikini on a magazine cover at this point in her life) and the crazy high amount of people I know getting skin cancers cut out (people in their 30s as well as people older), the togs are sensible. We need to think more about health and less about fashion when it comes to running around in the sun.
Bit disappointed they didn't use the Cancer Council of Australia's Ugly Christmas Rashie. Ah well, the black is elegant, albeit boring.
It seems medical experts are somewhat undivided about the effects of sun exposure. Dr Mercola claims that natural sun exposure is a tremendous source of Vit D, which I take in capsule form here because of our awful weather, while the rest seem to shun it due to cancer scares. I tend to believe the former, tbh.
British Vogue maybe does a sunny edit for one month, two at most. Magazines in general are forever racing to reach autumn or winter, not sure why. So it's somewhat of a reprieve to see Australian & Brazilian magazines glorifying summer so religiously.
