This obsession with publishing over 2 covers for regular issues will never be clear to me. I don't understand the purpose, especially when more than half of the images aren't even cover-worthy. First two covers of Maryna are spectacular. I'm not usually a fan of children on covers, but this (along with Natasha Poly's Vogue Paris cover) is easily my favorite.

However, the full family portrait is dreadful. They look like a cult, and not in a good fashiony way, it's a bad image that should've stayed in drafts. On the other hand, Ashley's image is beautiful but not something you'd put on the cover of a magazine. There are endless possibilities for shooting a nude portrait of a mother with her child that could've been more sufficient covers, but this isn't one. Should've stayed in the editorial inside! Alessandra's cover is very nice actually, but it's quite generic and has nothing new or interesting to offer so I don't understand why they felt the need to publish it when they already had two great covers with Maryna. It's pointless.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bottom coverline on Marina's covers is in Belarusian? Have to applaud Russian Elle for doing some minor bits of activism, like their anti-censorship issue, editorials with trans models, and now this little bit of support. I wonder how controversial all of this is with the Russian general public.

Russian public is very supportive of Belarus right now, based on the comments on instagram that I have seen so far, Ashley's cover is actually far more controversial.
