Elle UK March 2015 : Keira Knightley by Mariano Vivanco

I applaud the idea of the magazine donating to charity but I agree with honeycombchild. Keira and Kate Upton are the only ones who make sense to me. They should of created something more collectable. Based on those five covers I doubt everyone's going to rush to TK Maxx.

The official newsstand cover with Keira is fantastic. The cover image itself is beautiful, just cannot go wrong with Keira Knightley.. even more so wearing Chanel. I look forward to seeing the cover story. The issue is out today and if it's not shrink-wrapped I'm tempted to have a quick leaf through.

Great styling and some of the shots are really good, but her hair is really bad. It's quite distracting actually.

I'm sure you've seen by now, because there's a free Benefit mascara with it, it's wrapped in super-thick plastic, as if they're trying to give us a 'safe sex' message at the same time.

So I went round to TK Maxx and picked up my issue there, but from my initial flick-through, it isn't worth the effort. It's a big issue, in the amount of pages, but not in terms of impact.

The wrapping on this issue is so odd. Essentially the whole magazine is wrapped in a solid black and red plastic bag that has text all about the fact there is a free Benefit mascara included, the cover is printed rather small on the plastic. It looks odd, the covers itself is sort of irrelevant, all you notice on the shelf is this big red bag! Maybe that's why the image doesn't scream 'March cover', they knew it wasn't actually going to be seen on stands.

Must admit that I was taken aback when I seen the thick wrapping around the issue on the stands too. I felt the issue through the wrapping and thought it felt quite thin compared to previous March issues, so put it back. I was even in TK Maxx today and seen no signs of the collectors covers, which I found odd.

The subscribers' cover shot is of Keria wearing the beige Chanel playsuit, reclining on the sofa.

What's odd is that in store the tshirt collection is modelled by Lily Allen - an Elle favourite! So why she doesn't at least have a special edition cover is beyond me.

So much lifeless slumping and standing around in one issue, it almost makes me long for the sight of Trentini defying gravity in twenty different ways, but I'll probably only have to wait until the next issue of US Vogue to see that.

She is wearing Chanel.

I love the colour scheme very much, but it reminded me of Vogue June 2008 :flower:
