When I was in high school I had a subscription to Ellegirl. It gave me my first glimsp into street style, especially the global aspect of it. I would still read Ellegirl today if it was in print. I can remember when it was $1.99 !!!! Can you imagine? I know they have a web version but to me there is no replacement for the glossy. Do you have fond Ellegirl memories?

Definitely! It was one of my favourite magazines. I liked that it was more "real" than Teen Vogue in terms of the fashion, issues, content, etc. I still have all of my old copies.

One particularly memorable issue had a feature on an artist named Fafi. A few years later she blew up and collaborated with MAC on a line of makeup.

I believe they still have ElleGirl in Korea? Wish they would bring it back but sadly, it seems this type of magazine is not well received.

I am now interested to see if I can dig up any issues of mine... I know that I had purchased the very first one. If I threw it out I will be quite upset. I agree with you on Teen Vogue. I remember when they cancelled Ellegirl they fulfilled my subscription with Cosmogirl, I was beyond disappointed.

oh yes i remember ellegirl. it was great and cheap. i also remember the crap teen mags like cosmogirl and teen people. hhahahah

I think we still have Elle Girl in Russia  I almost sure we have, actually.
When I was in my first year in university I truly adored this magazine

I remember this magazine, my sister bought a copy, the one with Hilary Duff on the cover i remember, but i don't know where she put this magazine..

Oh My God! I LOVED this magazine! I still have all of the copies I ever purchased. I was so upset when they canceled the magazine (the last issue was with Adam Brody). One of my favorite issues was with Emma Watson. I remember being so excited to see her on the cover of my favorite magazine. It was a nice interview with her too. I loved Elle Girl for writing about a bunch of different topics and not just fashion. I wish magazines were still like that now it seems like they are all the same to me.

I loved ElleGirl, too. I still have the very first issue of it. I especially loved their street style reports and the fashion eds were always great as well. It was my favorite teen fashion magazine, actually.

And yes, ElleGirl is still available in Russia. You can actually get the issues and read previews on zinio.com.

Elle Girl
It is my favourite magazine forever! (dutch version) So sad that they don't sell it anymore!!
It really shaped me through my teens, challenged me to be different and to experiment with style, fashion has to be fun!!
I make a lot of collages of magazines so I used all my Ellegirl's....I have non left...my biggest dream is to republish it again by me ^_^

I also like teen vogue, because they have the same idea, but still elle girl can't be replaced! Elle girl was more about the girl next door, you and me, Teen vogue is more about celebrities.

^ I still have around 10 issues of Russian Elle Girl. There are a vintage shoots of Lara Stone, Doutzen and other established girls inside

My sister used to get this and I would steal them from her room and read them. I still remember reading this issue when I was like 11.
