Victoria’s Secret models went out last night to support VS photographer Russell James’ art called called “Seminole Spirit”. Elsa Hosk and Sara Sampaio also attended the event. Behati wore a head to toe Balenciaga look in black at the event. “Seminole Spirit” is inspired by the Seminole tribe of Florida and features a 30-piece collection of photographs. Behati posed for James’ in the Florida wetlands for a series inspired by the tribe’s history.

Angelic Encounters

We’re used to the Victoria’s Secret angels appearing on our TV screens every year as part of the annual VS Fashion show, but this year the brand debuts a new concept, The VS Swim Special. The idea of jetting off to the sun-kissed beaches of Puerto Rico with the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio and Elsa Hosk is of course tempting, but we wanted to real scoop from the angels themselves. We caught up with superstars Alessandra and Elsa to find out more about the TV special and their favorite moments from filming.

What was the best part of the experience for you?

ELSA: Getting to see Puerto Rico. Doing the swim special was new for us too so we had to get used to having a film crew with us the whole time capturing all those behind the scenes moments. It worked out so wonderfully though and they were able to get all these moments where we’re just having a great time exploring the island and taking in all the beauty.

What should we look out for on the show

ELSA: Well I’m excited to see Maroon 5 performing but my personal favorite moment had to be shooting in this cave with Russell James. We do whatever it takes to get an amazing shot and that shoot was one of the most incredible I’ve ever done.

What’s it like working with Russell?

ELSA: He’s just amazing, he’s always going out of his way to make you smile and make things fun. He’s such a prankster, I remember he put a crab in my hand during this shoot – just placed it there and I didn’t even realize what it was until it started moving! Russell is so warm and friendly too, he’s just one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and he makes us girls look good. As a model you’re always going to love someone who can make you look your best!
