Emilio de la Morena: A designer name to watch!

Hi everybody,

Firstly, I'm new here, so hi!

Secondly, I just discovered a Spanish designer called Emilio de la Morena. His work is incredible! Wondering if anybody else has any info on him?

I have only just discovered this designer via Julia Restoin Roitfeld wearing some amazing pieces and I can't wait to see what he does in the future. His sculpting background is really apparent in his work.
I just got a simple shift style dress of his, so I'm excited to see the quality in real life when it arrives.

I really love the work of Lacroix (the flair and detail), Preen, McQueen and Alaia and I can kind of see those vibes in his work. I love his mixing of different textures/fabrics and high level of detail. I think some of his pieces are still a bit too literal but I love his interesting and subtly complex take on body con.
