Emily DiDonato

That's a big mystery for me too! I mean she is gorgeous, has a great body and on top of that she is even an american but not only she doesn't do the show but I think that she doesn't work with VS a lot!
I just don't get it but maybe it's her choice...

Having breakfast with my @imgmodels Paris family @sel07 and @lemire_img before they send me off on my next adventure. Headed to New Zealand for the first time to shoot something very special.

I feel like she's carved out her niche as a model and it works fine without VS, even if the VS show would give her more exposure. She does do both commercial and hf, but I feel that the hf side of her work is more elegant and subtle. Maybe it's because VS wouldn't really contribute much to her image/niche. Or maybe it's just a personal preference.

Emily eluded on her Instagram that she was shooting something special for the first time so it could be something she hasn't done? Another Acqua Di Gioia commercial wouldn't be so bad though.

Although it may be nice to see her in Victoria's Secret stuff, her career definitely does not need a VS stamp of approval. She had a huge stroke of luck when she landed Maybelline at 18. Her work kinda was sporadic at times but it changed this year. I would say doing SI was definitely the turn around and the fact she's actually doing a great amount. She boosted more HF works like a Miu Miu campaign, French/Spanish/Italian Vogue editorials and etc.

I think the Emily/VS discussion is something that will go on for a while and to be honest and I don't think we'll ever actually get a answer.

As far as we know she's never really tried out for the show has she? I know her name was on a casting sheet last year but I don't think that means she attended a casting. VS is one of those shows where you have to be somewhat relentless when it comes to pursuing it...look at Jess Hart, she had to wait 6 years.

I agree with what everyone else is saying though, I don't think she needs VS at this point, although it would be nice to see her on a more mainstream scale. I loved seeing her doing promo for SI earlier this year.

....side note: does anyone remember when Emily first got twitter? in her bio she referred to herself as a Victoria's Secret model. Just something to ponder at...

This part is something that belongs in the rumors thread, but the rumor is that Emily used to work with VS but didn't get along with the angels. Not sure how true it is.

It is true she did work for VS though. I think she worked for them shortly after starting her career - appeared in some catalogues.
