Emily DiDonato

:judge: please guys, remember this is a thread for Emily's career and works, not to get into a commercial vs HF modeling debate, I bet there is probably a thread in "ETCs of the modeling world" regarding that matter, and if there isn't then you can start one ok? :flower:

Yay... Hopefully its something original and not a remake of an old commercial :D

I saw her for Maybelline Color sensational commercial only, this time it was for the pink hues and has Emily as a main focus :).

i just want to add that models don't get paid to do editorials. they do it for free because it's prestigious and it's an advertisiment to attract their clients (the brands). therefore Zara pays way better than Vogue US
Yup true about Vogue but I seriously didn't know that about SI :o
Theres some new Maybelline pictures btw.. will cap them soon :flower:

^ Bar Rafaeli said so in a TV show ;)

and how do you know she is shooting a TV commercial? do you know the name of the director by any chance?

Well, SI gives you a ton of exposure because it allows you to reach far more people than Vogue (I'm pretty sure their circulation is higher, especially for the swimsuit edition). If you want to go fully commercial and potentially break into future markets (VJ-ing, acting), it's an excellent opportunity.

Anyway, re: Vogue (and Harper's, Glamour, Elle etc.) , it's been said countless times on tFS by model members that editorial pay hardly anything, especially after taxes and agency commission. In NYMag, an article last year said it was at most $250.

The thing is, Emily doesn't need that exposure, she's got great money jobs already. And it will be difficult for her because she is very commercial looking, which is unappealing to the high fashion crowd unless you're Doutzen Kroes.

To say Emily is only commercial because of her work doesn't mean she doesn't she couldn't do HF but you're right, she's already got the money jobs. From what I see she does want to break into HF during her first time on the runways at NY, her face is likable (from what few casting calls have said) but I think the true test will be if she appears in Paris doing shows.
