Meet the Models — Emily Green
We had to resist the urge to hug her because that would be both creepy and inappropriate.

On Thursday afternoon, we held a casting with our Fashion Week contributors
Mark Vassallo and Yimmy Yayo at Luxe Studios. I tagged along too, and fumbled around taking iPhone photos of the girls. I also asked them about why they are so hot their modeling careers. We'll be putting up one profile per day in the lead-up to MBFWA. Today, meet Emily Green from Perth who is such a small cute tiny little being that I had to resist the urge to hug her because that would be both creepy and inappropriate.
Ingrid Kesa: How old are you?
Emily Green: I’m 19 years old.
What agency are you with?
I’m with Viviens.
How long have you been signed to Viviens for?
I’ve been signed to Viviens since I was about 15 years old, so a good few years, and I’ve recently just signed a contract with IMG worldwide.
That’s exciting, congratulations.
That was just at the end of last year so I hope to travel overseas soon.

Have you been overseas with your modeling yet?
Yeah, I’ve been over to Asia quite a few times. I spent three months in Singapore, six weeks in Seoul, and a month in Tokyo and I’ve spent a few weeks in Dubai.
I was just in Tokyo, it’s so good.
Ohh, I love it there! It’s such a cool city and it’s so beautiful, everything lights up at nighttime. It’s amazing.
So have you walked at Australian Fashion Week before?
Um, no. I’ve only ever done Perth Fashion Festival, but hopefully I’ll be moving on to bigger things now. I’m really, really excited for Fashion Week this year, I think it’s just going to be amazing.

Why are you excited? Is there one thing you really want to see or be a part of?
I just love the whole atmosphere. The rushed feeling backstage, and leading up to it. It’s like, your feet might hurt, you’re a bit uncomfortable, but as soon as you get out on the runway, you just feel amazing. You forget everything, and it’s awesome, I just love it.
Do you ever feel nervous before doing a job or walking in a show?
I don’t ever really feel nervous when I do photoshoots but there’s always the live aspect to [runway shows]. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking but it’s good butterflies, it’s adrenalin. It’s great, I love it.
