news from her agent in shanghai: Pei is working on a Vogue Italia shoot by Paolo Roversi with Lily Cole.

If that won't get her a NY agency, I don't know what will

ahem...age is a very sensative issue in the fashion industry, so she's only 12 :shifty:

She looks very young to me, maybe 15 or 16?

Can't wait to see the editorial with Lily - they are great doll models ^_^

looking over her editorials and runway, i'll agree with the majority of you guys, she's not high fashion material  actually i decided to abandon this thread a long time ago but then bam, first face at dior. i think it's solely due to chance in the 'oriental' theme she happened to fit into, as she hasn't been cast in any other shows all this while in Paris. and i too think she looks her best only in heavy makeup...
the thing with chinese models is, all of their career overseas is based on who they know - connections. so agencies in Europe rely on models that chinese fashion influencers suggest to them, instead of picking the girls themselves. sometimes they get it right, but now there are sooo many amazing new faces coming from there that even someone like Pei Bei who hasn't even started is already old news. and i dont think she's on par with Mo Wandan nor has the credibility Mo gained back home so getting shows will be tough. besides, there are these excellent Korean/Japanese models whose countries are no lesser partakers in the luxury market.
it's great seeing all these chinese girls suddenly (i think that girl i showed in Teeani's thread is going to Milan) but i think the competition is just beginning. maybe i'll pick up interest when Pei shows up in Paris again but i doubt it.

The chances just got bigger...guess who got signed at IMG Paris!

Alright Miss Pei! I have liked her ever since i saw her at Dior HC (she stood out so much with her regal posing and beauty), im always for the minority, SO GO PEI! I would love to see her and Du in a editorial, or maybe ad for Prada/Gucci! LOL

I thought Pei's performance at Dior was very good. He posing and timing were very on cue. Some of the models at the show lacked that talent. And no, I am not saying the other models sucked, but it was obvious who were the veterans and who were still newbies :)

Oh that is great news Pei signed w/ IMG Paris :flower:
