I love her hair ! The dress is very beautiful but the jacket was a bit unecessary. Not a fan of the shoes color either.

She has to show that she's using her free bags. Dang Andrew has a great head of hair. Me so jealous.

thank you NYLens!! :flower: must be a smaller version - but it's tough to tell from the pic as it's cut off.

very interesting article:

http://www.vulture.com/2015/05/emma-jlaw-and-scarletts-older-man-problem.html?mid=twitter_vulture

meanwhile, they tell maggie gyllenhaal that at 37 she's too old to play the love interest of a 55 year old man.

i'd say hollywood has a problem. sexism and ageism!

It's interesting (and I will probably get shot down for this) but a small part of me agrees that it is the females fault, as they are the one constantly signing up for these parts with decades-older men.

Obviously, the majority of the problem comes down to hollywood execs and the men who have massive egos, but the females keep allowing it happen.

(...and here come the parade of people telling me actresses have to sign up to these parts for they would get no offers otherwise...)

it's mainly the very young actresses though.
so it's just when they are about to break through.
and of course they want to work with the big directors, too, so if it's a film with a major cast and big director then they'll take it (a) to break out of teen/YA films or (b) to break out of action flicks. they want to do "serious" acting so they sign up.
personally i wouldnt blame the actresses.
the fault lies with the writers (who are also, in a number of cases, the directors too) and with producers - most of these with power are male.
for example, look at actresses like julianne moore and cate blanchette. now that they are older they don't get those sorts of parts anymore but they're actually at the top of their acting in many ways.
i think for the young ones it's a bit of a catch 22: damned if you don't take the part, but damned if you do.
basically we need more female writer/director/producers who can write outside the proverbial box.

I remember reading this Vulture article ages ago as well:

But yes, agree that is a catch-22 and you need more females behind the lens.

Hopefully Emma's next roles feature men that are more her age - it was one thing that really bothered me in Magic in the Moonlight.
