I feel like it's the wrong dress for the venue. The "deconstructed" trend comes across well in some settings but here it just looks like she was attacked in the limo on the way over and decided to brave it out for the cameras

she is wearing a lot of black lately. i don't hate it, but i'd love to see her in some color for the oscars. i think she'd stun in an emerald green gown.

So much black and navy! I agree about wanting some color. She still looks great, but she used to pull off so many interesting colors and patterns that looked cool with her pale skin. I hope she's saving the big moment for the Oscars.

Does anyone know if she changed stylist again ? I feel like her style for this season is very different than during her Birdman round.


And it seems like she hasn't really found her place yet in this more grown up, slightly sultry, minimal aetshetic. Her main awards dresses have been pretty disappointing. The McQueen at the SAG was lovely but looked more like a premiere look than an awards ceremony one.

My favorites are definitely the stunning red wine TheRow dress and the very sexy yet elegant fringed gown.



Really excited to see what she'll wear for the Oscars. Even though I don't think she deserves to win, I hope she will shine for her big night. And don't go for the "too pretty" look which seems to be the trend with Best Actress winners in the recent years. Oh and I'd love more color too. Lord knows I'm all for an all black style but I don't think she pulls it off very well. Her gorgeous red wair stuns more against colorful pieces.

She looks cute but the waistline is a little odd - it makes her look like she's pregnant even though she's not. It strikes me that it would be a great maternity look for an actress
