Erin O'Connor
Erin O'Connor is a leading British Supermodel. Born and brought up in the midlands of England, she was spotted by a Models 1s scout at a Birmingham fashion event. Her first published pictures were by Juergen Teller for a 1996 issue of i-D, and are credited with launching an alternative concept of beauty. O'Connor's signature look is that of an angular, linear hauteur with a face that is fiercely symmetrical and porcelain pale. She is synonymous with the notion of 'imperfect beauty', and Karl Lagerfeld described her as ‘a modern anti-beauty’. She has inspired luxury labels from Chanel to Versace, being the face and Modigliani-referencing form of Chanel, Givenchy, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Armani, and Gaultier. Erin has modelled on the catwalk for John Galliano, Christian Dior, Donna Karen, Prada, Versace, Mui Mui, Giorgio Armani, Julien MacDonald, Jean Paul Gaultier, Badgley Mischka and Dolce and Gabbana. She has worked with many leading fashion photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Nick Knight, Mario Testino, David Simms, and Jonathan de Villiers, and featured magazines including Vogue, W, Elle, Nova, Harper's Bazaar, Harper's & Queen, i-D and Visionnaire. In March 2003 she featured in a three-part Channel 4 documentary 'This Model Life' which confirmed her as a household name in the UK. Erin O'Connor has a £5 million fortune. This makes her the only woman to feature in the top ten of moneyed under 30s and put her in joint 166th place overall in the Times rich list.
