The new acting editor Miranda Collinge is already lowering the standards of this less-than-stellar edition. She seems to be spawned from the same basic hive of mediocrity as Chioma that champions everyday people for models and styles high fashion as outletwear.

But it’s worth a peep just for Tom, who’s a rare coverstory in any fashion publication. Guess his handlers need him to push his Netflix series. Forgettable styling aside, Tom’s aged so handsomely that these timid shots really does not do his physical presence justice. And that sole fashion story is the stuff of timid department-store catalogue fodder: Kim Jones aesthetic styling; generic catalogue photography; and the type of model that’s so plain Jane with no presence, that of course someone like Miranda would cast him for the issue’s sole fashion story. It’s all so mid, so bland, save for the couple of shots with the golden clay field— the true star of this shoot.

My Dinner is Tom 😇. Esquiere UK, how irrelevant, the editing in both is off-putting as hell.

I did not see anything groundbreaking in terms of fashion photography under the previous editor in chief. Some stories were good but others were bland and forgettable as well. I do like the fashion story "As a Cloud" by Jesse Laitinen. The model could have been better but the styling and photography look good.

I feel suffocated just by staring at these photos.

The inside editorial's decent.
