I think Eugene is an amazing hairdresser... He did lots and lots of shows this season, including Lanvin, Sonia Rykeil, Ungaro, Dolce and Gabanna, D&G... And many more.. He did this story for the new Italian Vogue..

Biography


Eugene Souleiman is a successful fashion industry hair stylist. Souleiman has worked in partnership with make up artist Pat McGrath, partnering originally through their work on i-D magazine. They have worked alongside the world's major designers and photographers. It is widely recognised within the fashion world that Soulieman's statements for hair on the catwalk become major trends. He is an innovator with a fondness for graphic shapes that has made him a firm favourite of Hussein Chalayan and Yohji Yamamoto, but whose styles translate into the popular touch. Soulieman is Contributing Beauty Editor of i-D magazine.

I think I saw him in Hampstead, London on Monday. I was with my sister (we're on holiday) and she had absolutely no idea who he was. I had my little 'celebrity' moment in London; my sister saw Ricky Gervais in Hampstead that day while I wasn't looking.

Eugene Souleiman felted models’ hair and wool, which were mixed and piled in seemingly gravity-defying mounds. The hairstylist used multicolored strands of the fabric.

“I’ve been storing this wool for about a year now, and I’ve been waiting for the right moment to bring it out,” he said.
